Panagiota KIORTSI

 

 

Panagiota KIORTSI, PhD Candidate, has an LLB from the University of Athens and an LLM in Public Law from the same University. She is a qualified Lawyer specialising in administrative law and she is conducting a PhD research at the Law School under the subject “The boundaries of State supervision and intervention in social networking sites”. Panagiota has also a Diploma in Tax Law (special seminar at the Athens University of Economics and Business, 2011), in 2011 has attended the International Summer School in IT Law at Leibniz Universität Hannover and in 2015 has paid study visits at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society and at the Institut für Informations –Telekommunikations - und Medienrecht at Westfälische Wilhelms - Universität Münster. She is interested in all aspects of Data Protection in Social Networks, Net neutrality and Internet as a Universal Service, Secrecy of Communications, Freedom of Expression over the Internet and Protection of Minors and Childhood in New Media. Her more recent participation is in the project entitled “Violence Against Refugee Children and Children Online (VARCCO)” and her most recent publications include:
